These collisions result in countless little bursts of light, called photons, which make up the aurora.
Lunar eclipses can occur only during a full moon, and this Super Blood Wolf Moon was extra special because it was also a supermoon. A supermoon occurs when the moon is full and closest to Earth in orbit. We are lucky to be able to see it in our region in Canada with a total clear sky. The four images here shows the sequence of full moon, eclipse and the Super Wolf Moon at total eclipse.
