February 8, 2020 by Stan Lee

It is endemic to the highlands of Costa Rica and western Panama, normally found in 2150m to 3350m altitude. Despite it’s name, it is not a true finch, but rather a member of the large family Passerellidae, which also includes American sparrows, juncos and towhees. Length: 20 cm
