White-tipped Sicklebill – Costa Rica lifer#24

This species of hummingbird is found in Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, and far northern Peru. Sicklebills feed by “trap-lining” between favorite plants and, unlike most other hummingbirds, actually perch on the flowers while feeding. Length: 11.4 cm
